2025 CFL CHAMPIONS

CLAIMING BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 2024 AND 2025 THE NORTHERN COLORADO NIGHTMARE CONTINUE TO BUILD A DYNASTY.   UNDER FIRST YEAR HEAD COACH, D'ANDRUE PHIFER, THE NIGHTMARE WERE A HEAVY FAVORITE GOING INTO THE SEASON.  CONTINUING TO BUILD THE ORGANIZATION ON CORE VALUES OF FAITH, FAMILY,  AND COMMUNITY.   THE NIGHTMARE OFFENSE DOMINATED EVERY DEFENSE THEY CAME ACROSS AS BANKS AND COMPANY GRIND LIKE A WELL OILED MACHINE.  BANKS IS CONSIDERED ONE OF THE BEST QB'S IN COLORADO MINOR LEAGUE HISTORY- COMBINING COACH PHIFE'S KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE COMPLEX OFFENSE, AND BANKS' LEADERSHIP AND ATHLETICISM ON THE FIELD; IN CONJUNCTION WITH AN EXTREMELY SOLID OFFENSIVE LINE, POWER RUNNING BACKS, AND AN IMPRESSIVE RECIEVING CORE HELPED LEAD THE NIGHTMARE TO THE THIRD ORGANIZATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.  THE DARKSIDE DEFENSE UNDER FIRST YEAR DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR, STEVE STAMBAUGH,  CONTINUES TO BE VIOLANT AND AGGRESSIVE.  COACH STAMBUAGH EXPECTED NOTHING LESS THAN WHAT A NOCO DEFENSE IS KNOWN FOR.  BROTHERS, OMAR AND LONDO RIVERA LEAD THE LEAGUE IN INTERCEPTIONS, AS A RETURNING DEFENSIVE LINE KEPT PRESSUE ON THE OPPOSING OFFENSE FROM THE FIRST WHISTLE.   THE DARKSIDE DEFENSE CONTINUES TO BE ONE THE GREATS, AVERAGING ONLY 4.9 POINTS ALLOWED PER GAME.  THE NIGHTMARE WILL NOW PLAY IN TAMPA, FLORIDA TO COMPETE FOR A NATIONAL TITLE JANUARY 2026.

2024 CFL CHAMPIONS

Year two of representing the Championship Football League The Northern Colorado Nightmare were crowned Champions in a complete domination of the league.  449 total points were scored in ten CFL games, while the defense gave up a staggering 51 total points.   Having secured the title, The Nightmare will now begin a National run, hosting the Utah Islanders, Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at home.    All home games are at the "Boneyard" at District 6 Stadium, 100 N. 71st Ave, Greeley, CO.

Boasting the most talented players from Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, Windsor, Longmont, Denver and the rest of Northern Colorado. You are sure to recognize some of their names on the final roster.

The Nightmare is looking to continue making an impact in the

Championship Football League, and through Noco Cares, continuing to partner with area sponsors.  

Our owners, coaches, players and anyone associated with our program will be held to a high standard of excellence on and off the field to ensure that we are a team our community will be proud to have represent it.

Players will be expected to demonstrate leadership through our organization in everything they do, and games will be structured to be fun for the entire community!
